One man was shot near the Ocean Avenue in San Francisco with non-life threatening injuries in the afternoon on May 12.
At 3:17 pm, San Francisco Police Department(SFPD) responded to the Ocean Avenue area in the Ingleside neighborhood for a report of a shooting. According to the press statement released by SFPD, officers located the victim, a white male, “suffering from an apparent gunshot wound”. The victim was taken to a local hospital.
SFPD firstly described the victim had life-threatening injuries but later updated the seriousness of the injuries as “non-life threatening”.
It’s unclear at this moment how the incidents had happened. Officers were conducting road closures at the nearby blocks while investigators collected evidence at the scene.
Ocean Avenue is one of the most diverse business corridors in San Francisco, with dozens of Asian-owned small businesses in the southwest part of the city.
The location of the shooting is around Ocean Ave and Jules Avenue, which is overseen by the Taraval Station of SFPD in Sunset, not Ingleside Station.
